Highly profitable practice FOR SALE near Denver, Colorado $495,000

Hello!

I'm looking for a suitable replacement doctor at my group practice in Longmont, CO asking price $495k. I started there fresh out of dental school in 2015 and it has been the best first office I could have asked for. It is with a DSO called Comfort Dental and I KNOW a lot of these offices and corporate dentistry in general have a bad reputation. And in some cases it's warranted, I'm sure we've all seen examples of dentists sacrificing quality of care for quantity of production. But the truth is this happens just as often in private practices, the only difference is these big chains have the same name that people hear over and over vs patients complaining about "my last dentist" or "that guy over on Main St." My point is that it's not the name or type of office that determines the quality of work, it's up to each individual provider, their skills, and how they decide to practice.

Anyway, I was fortunate to find this office with great, experienced doctors who were there to mentor me in the beginning and answer clinical questions, review cases, give me advice on dealing with difficult patients, and- what I was most lacking as a new grad- navigating the responsibilities of business ownership. As a busy office averaging 130 new patients a month, I was quickly able to master bread-and-butter dentistry, working at a pace I was comfortable with in a business model designed to maximize efficiency. Utilizing highly trained EDDAs, having four doctors to split opening the office 66 hours a week for patients to come in evenings and weekends, all allows for optimal chair time while keeping overhead at 44%. I started taking home more than I ever imagined I could in the first couple years out of school with an average income of $450k. All while being proud of the care I was providing, especially to a lower socioeconomic population who often needs it most. In the last 5 years I've also been able to implement more advanced procedures that I've always been interested in, including overdentures, various ridge augmentation techniques, and esthetic zone implants.

The flexible schedule is another part I love and has given me an amazing work-life balance. Working either three 12 hour days or two 12s and one 6 hour day a week allowed me to arrange my schedule to have 6 days off in a row if I wanted to take a trip without missing any shifts, or just have days off in the middle of the week to enjoy all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer without running into the weekend crowds.

I am leaving now because I am a new dad and at a stage where I want to step back and enjoy more time with my family for a while. As I said, working 3 days a week has been amazing, but they are long and busy days and I have been commuting 45 minutes each way. With a newborn, I've found something slower and just closer to home which is more important to me at the moment.

This office has been the most valuable learning experience for me to grow and be successful. The staff and other doctors have really become like a family to me (one of the partners is actually one of my best friends and classmates from dental school). I care about them and the patients I've built a rapport with, so I want to make sure I pass on my partnership to the right person. Please reach out if you'd like to learn more about my office. Thanks!
